Our brides and grooms love us because of our knowledge and experience with many different music genres. It's natural for Indian wedding couples to seek our advice on what would be the best fit for them for all of their key wedding moments. Half of the Indian weddings we DJ are with both the bride and groom being of South Asian descent (Hindu, Christian or Muslim). The other half of the weddings we do are mixed or fusion weddings where one person is from South Asian descent and the other is not (White, Black, Hispanic or Asian).
In 1994, we did our first Indian wedding. Who would have guessed that 24 years later, the company would grow into a team of 12 amazing DJ's that travel around the world making memories for couples. We are truly blessed to do what we love and love what we do. Thousands of couples have trusted us with the biggest and best days of their lives. We wanted to figure out a way to help couples during various parts of their journey from getting engaged to being married. The first part of our blogs focused on Venues, followed by Vendors, and now it's time for Music.
When coming up with the Top 9 Indian Wedding Bridal Party Ceremony Entrance Songs, we based it on the following::
- This blog focuses on popular Bollywood songs and instrumentals.
- We have seen many brides either use these songs or consider using these songs for people entering before her or for music played for the grooms' side entrance, before the groom enters. Here is a list of great songs for the groom to enter. <Hyperlink here>
- We wanted to give you many options so if you find one that you like for yourself, use that one for you, and your second favorite for your wedding party or the grooms family.
- We have put together this list with classy entrances in mind.
- Focus on listening to the song and not watching the video. Don't overlook the perfect song because you don't like the video. No one will see the video, they will all be watching you.
The following Top 9 Indian Wedding Bridal Party Ceremony Entrance Songs are ranked based on what we have seen used most often within the last few years.
1) Jashn-E-Baharaa Jodha Akbar
Jashn-E-Baharaa has secured the first position on our Top 9 Indian Wedding Bridal Party Ceremony Entrance Songs list. In the last few years, we have seen this used the most often. This is probably A.R. Rahman's most used tracks for Indian weddings. Fill out the form on this page and we will send you an email with all these songs on a playlist. Also if you are still looking for a venue check out our blog on the Top 22 Indian Wedding Venues in DFW.
2) Shimmer of Sindhu - Mohenjo Daro
This one has been our little secret since this movie was released and was also made by A.R. Rahman. I promise, not all of the songs in The Top 9 Indian Wedding Bridal Party Ceremony Entrance Songs are from him. We call it the new "Jashn-E-Baharra". Most people haven't heard of this movie or know the music. It's great for a classy entrance for any Indian wedding ceremony. Don't want to get married at a hotel? 3) Din Shagna Da by Jasleen Royal
This track is from the Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh movie, Phillauri. As we write this blog, it was used last weekend for a wedding we just did. This is a folk Punjabi song that was remade in 2015 by The Wedding Filmer (amazing videographers based in India). The video went viral and the song was eventually remade in Bollywood 2 years later. Anushka liked it so much that she used it in her wedding with Virat Kohli. Fill out the form on this page and we will send you an email with all these songs on a playlist. If you are looking for entrance songs without words, check out our instrumental ceremony entrance blog.
4) Kaun Tujhe - Palak Muchhal
This song is featured in the biographical movie M.S. Dhoni. We have noticed that since this song came out in 2016, it's been used most often by our Gujarati brides. The song is in Hindi, but something about it has our Gujarati brides loving it. Often our brides look for songs that haven't been played before (at least not often), maybe thats how it got popular. 5) Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai Flute Version
The original song is great and everyone knows it. Unlike the first two songs on the Top 9 Indian Wedding Bridal Party Ceremony Entrance Songs list, this wasn't a part of their original soundtrack. Most people don't know this version exists. Yash Raj Films recreated this for Indian wedding entrances (not really, but it works well for them). 6) Latika's Theme - Slumdog Millionaire
If you ask anyone to tell you one song from Slumdog Millionaire, they will say Jai Ho! When the movie was released this started being used by some brides; but somehow it never got its due. It's another great track for entrances, but brides either don't remember this song or they didn't pay attention to it. Another A.R Rahman track made for wedding entrances (it definitely works). Fill out the form on this page and we will send you an email with all these songs on a playlist. If you are looking for a vidai song, check out the Top 11 Indian Wedding Vidai Songs.
7) Bombay Theme
This is the oldest song on the Top 9 Indian Wedding Bridal Party Ceremony Entrance Songs list. I was really thinking about not including this track but I gave it a listen again and it just spoke to me. This track isn't for everyone. If you watched this movie growing up or you love Indian instrumental music, this will probably be one of your top choices. If you are looking for songs for the groom to enter, check it out here.
8) Bol Na Halke Halke - Jhoom Barabar Jhoom
Yash Raj Films (YRF) does it again. This is only one of my personal favorites on this list. Why is it so low on the ranking? Good question. Although it sounds amazing, most couples getting married currently may not know or remember this song. Out of this list of songs, it's one of the older ones. But if you like great music and want a song that none of your friends have used, pick this one. If you still need a decorator, check out the Top 7.
9) Dil Diyan Gallan - Tiger Zinda Hai
This is the newest song on the Top 9 Indian Wedding Bridal Party Ceremony Entrance Songs list. Like the two songs before this one, it is also from YRF and was not released in the original album. Which means, most people don't know this version exits. I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes one of the most popular entrance songs for bridal parties in the near future.
