Find me on:

Our brides and grooms love us because of our knowledge and experience with many different music genres.  It's natural for Indian wedding couples to seek our advice on what would be the best fit for them for all of their key wedding moments. Half of the Indian weddings we DJ are with both the bride and groom being of South Asian descent (Hindu, Christian or Muslim). The other half of the weddings we do are mixed or fusion weddings where one person is from South Asian descent and the other is not (White, Black, Hispanic or Asian).

In 1994, we did our first Indian wedding. Who would have guessed that 24 years later, the company would grow into a team of 12 amazing DJ's that travel around the world making memories for couples. We are truly blessed to do what we love and love what we do. Thousands of couples have trusted us with the biggest and best days of their lives. We wanted to figure out a way to help couples during various parts of their journey from getting engaged to being married. The first part of our blogs focused on Venues, followed by Vendors, and now it's time for Music.

When coming up with the Top 10 Indian Wedding Bridal Entrance Songs, we based it on the following::

  • Although some brides are coming into instrumental music, many still plan on entering into songs with words. This blog only focuses on Hindi/Punjabi music that is either in Bollywood music or covers of songs.
  • We have seen many brides either use these songs or consider using these songs.
  • We wanted to give you many options so you can use the best one for you and your second favorite for your wedding party, if they are making an entrance right before you.
  • We have put together this list with a mix of classy entrances and a few fun upbeat ones.
  • Focus on listening to the song and not watching the video. Don't overlook the perfect song because you don't like the video. No one will see the video, they will all be watching you.

The following Top 10 Indian Wedding Bridal Entrance Songs are ranked based on what we have seen used most often within the last few years.

1) Din Shagna Da by Jasleen Royal

This track from the Anushka Sharma and Diljit Dosanjh movie, Phillauri, takes the first position on our Top 10 Indian Wedding Bridal Entrance Songs list. In the last few years, we have seen this used the most often. In fact, as we write this blog, it was used last weekend for a weddings we just did. This is a folk Punjabi song that was remade in 2015 by The Wedding Filmer (amazing videographers based in India). The video went viral and was eventually remade in Bollywood 2 years later. Anushka liked it so much that she used it in her wedding with Virat Kohli. Fill out the form on this page and we will send you an email with all these songs on a playlist. If you are looking for entrance songs without words, check out our instrumental ceremony entrance blog.

2) Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai by Shreya Ghoshal

This is from Anushka Sharma's first Bollywood movie named Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi (no, she is not my favorite actress - big shout out to Aishwarya Rai). I promise, not all of the songs in The Top 10 Indian Wedding Bridal Entrance Songs are from her. Shreya Ghoshal is probably one of the best singers in Bollywood right now. Most people don't know this version even though it was on the original album. It's great for a classy entrance for any Indian wedding ceremony. Don't want to get married at a hotel?  Check out our blog on the Top 9 Indian Wedding Venues that aren't hotels.

3) Kaun Tujhe - Palak Muchhal

This song is featured in the biographical movie M.S. Dhoni. Unlike the first two songs on the Top 10 Indian Wedding Bridal Entrance Songs list, this doesn't have Anushka Sharma in it. We have noticed that since this song came out in 2016, it's been used most often by our Gujarati brides. The song is in Hindi, but something about it has our Gujarati brides loving it. Often our brides look for songs that haven't been played before (at least not often), maybe thats how it got popular. If you are looking for a great photographer, check out Top 9 Photographers.

4) Raabta by Shreya Ghoshal & Arijit Singh

The two best singers in India come together for this song. The Agent Vinod soundtrack has 4 different versions of this song. My favorite is the one with just Arijit in it but since we are talking about Top 10 Indian Wedding Bridal Entrance Songs, it only makes sense to use the one with Shreya Ghoshal in it. For some strange reason, T-Series never posted the official version of this song online. We have a crystal clear audio version for all our brides that choose this song, but we had to use an unofficial video for you to hear the song on our blog. If you still need a decorator, check out the Top 7

5) Heer by Harshdeep Kaur

Jab Tak Hai Jaan (the last movie with Anushka Sharma in it, I promise) has music by A.R. Rahman (the best musician in India) and stars Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. When this song first came out in 2012, we heard it at every wedding. Its one of those forgotten songs that needs to make a comeback. We still hear it at weddings but not as often as we used to. I wouldn't be surprised if this becomes popular again for brides in the near future. Fill out the form on this page and we will send you an email with all these songs on a playlist. Need a planner for your wedding? Check out the Top 10.

6) Mangalyam by KK, Shaan, Kunal, and Sreenivas

Why add this song from Saathiya to the Top 10 Indian Wedding Bridal Entrance Songs when there are a bunch of guys singing it? Great question answered with three reasons. First, our South Indian brides love this track (I think its because of the hook of the song). Second, it's a Bollywood wedding song, and makes sense to use. Third and most important, because they want to and thats good enough. If you ask anyone to tell you one song from this Rani Mukerji and Vivek Oberoi movie, they probably won't mention this song.  When the movie was released this started to get used by some brides; but somehow it never got its due. It's another great track for entrances, but brides either don't remember this song or they didn't pay attention to it. Another A.R Rahman track made for wedding entrances (not really but it still works). Fill out the form on this page and we will send you an email with all these songs on a playlist. Also if you are still looking for a venue check out our blog on the Top 22 Indian Wedding Venues in DFW.

7) Navrai Majhi by Sunidhi Chauhan and others

I almost didn't want to include this song because of how upbeat it is and truly, it isn't for everyone. This English Vinglish song, made it to The Top 10 Indian Wedding Bridal Entrance Songs list because we wanted to give you variety of options. If you want to come in smiling and dancing, this is a perfect for you. The words make sense for the occasion and if your mom loves Sridevi, you will probably make her day.  Fill out the form on this page and we will send you an email with all these songs on a playlist.

8) Samjhawan Unplugged by Alia Bhatt

This track from the Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt movie, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, takes the 8th position on our Top 10 Indian Wedding Bridal Entrance Songs list. This is a folk punjabi song that got remade in 2013 by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for a punjabi move named Virsa. The popularity of the track eventually lead to it being remade in Bollywood the following year. This particular version was not released on the album. It's one of those hidden gems we shared with our brides but now are trying to help many other brides by making these blogs. Hope this helps many people. Fill out the form on this page and we will send you an email with all these songs on a playlist.

9) Nai Jaana by Neha Bhasin

This is the only song on the Top 10 Indian Wedding Bridal Entrance Songs list that isn't from a Bollywood movie. With the number of remakes being made in Bollywood, and how fast they come out, don't be surprised if you see this in a movie soon. Many of our Hindu Punjabi brides love this track for their ceremony entrance. Neha has a great voice and she takes this folk song and brings the right amount of contemporary feel to it. This song probably hasn't been played before or at least not often. If you are looking for a great photographer, check out Top 9 Photographers.

10) Paalkhi Mein Hoke by Alka Yagnik

The Top 10 Indian Wedding Bridal Entrance Songs list ends with the oldest song of the 10. We have been djing weddings for over 24 years and have been a part of thousands of them. This track isn't for everyone, after all Khalnayak came out in 1993. If your parents made you hear this song growing up or you want to make your entrance fun, this will probably be one of your top choices. If you don't end up picking this for you, you can always have it played at one of your pre-wedding events (Mehndi, Sangeet, Garba, etc). Fill out the form on this page and we will send you an email with all these songs on a playlist.
